RESERVATION

PROCESS

PUPPIES ARE BABIES AND NO MATTER HOW WELL-RAISED SHOULD BE EXPECTED TO CRY, BARK, AND HAVE ACCIDENTS, OFTEN AT VERY INCONVENIENT TIMES AND PLACES.

IF YOU ARE NOT PREPARED FOR THIS, PLEASE DO NOT GET A PUPPY FROM ANYBODY.

MAKING A RESERVATION

A $350 reservation fee reserves your puppy. The fee will be applied to the price of your puppy. The reservation fee is not refundable, but may be applied to a future purchase. Please be certain to have the balance of your puppy purchase to us prior to selection, or you may lose your selection slot for the current litter.

To make a reservation, please complete this questionnaire and we will call you to discuss your application. If we are unable to reach you within three days, we discard your application.

Once we talk and agree that we want to work together to get you a puppy, we will send you an invoice for the reservation fee.

Reservations are accepted by credit card or check. You will also receive a Puppy Reservation and Purchase Contract to sign.

Your reservation is not final until we receive both your Reservation Fee and your signed Contract.

Reservation fees and purchase price are subject to sales tax for Florida residents. Reservation slots are not given until your fee has been paid. Reservations that are unpaid after 48 hours of invoicing are discarded.

Please click here to learn more about how our reservation list works.

SELECTING A PUPPY

Once on the reservation list, we will contact you once puppies are born. You will have the choice to select from that litter, or remain on the reservation list for a later litter. It is not unusual for people to reserve a spot long before they are ready for a puppy so they may have a priority spot on the reservation list. Many people reserve as much as a year in advance.

Puppy selection happens when the puppies are about 6-7 weeks old. Payment in full is required prior to selecting a puppy.

LITTER UPDATES

Litter updates may be found on our Facebook page. We typically provide puppy portraits several times during the growth of your puppy. We do our best to provide as many pictures and videos as possible (usually several a week) through our Facebook page, but please note that because our priority is the proper raising and husbandry of your puppy, we usually aren't able to respond to requests for additional photos or videos of individual puppies.

VISITATION

Please click here for our Visitation Policy.

GOING HOME

Puppies typically go home at about 9 weeks of age. It is illegal in Florida to place puppies in homes before 8 weeks of age. Additionally, we prefer to wait for the puppies to have already gone through their 7-8 week fear period prior to asking them to adjust to travel and a new home.

Puppies may be picked up from our home in the Gainesville area. We also deliver at no charge to the Gainesville, Florida, airport for those who live at a distance. It costs between $90 and $125 to bring your puppy with you in the airplane cabin, and many people use frequent flyer miles to help keep costs affordable. For more information on flying with your puppy, please contact your individual airline for more information. Please also contact us PRIOR to making airline reservations so we can ensure we will have the availability to meet your flight.

We can also meet you at a number of other Florida airports (Orlando, Tampa, Tallahassee, or Jacksonville), and you can return home the same day on most airlines with your puppy traveling in the cabin with you. Delivery to the Orlando airport is $200, and to Jacksonville, Tampa, Sanford, and Tallahassee airports is $250.

Disclaimer: We recommend certain select products that we have used ourselves on this site and think are good enough to share. Some of those products have affiliate links, where we get a very small commission for referral. Those commissions help support the time we spend in testing, reviewing, and sharing our experiences with those products. Most of the products we recommend are manufactured in the USA by small family companies. These small American companies can't compete with the big dollar marketing campaigns of the large multinational conglomerates that control most of the pet supply business. We hope you will choose to support small family companies like ours and many of the manufacturers we recommend, instead of large multinational conglomerates that are known for food and product recalls as well as off-shore sourcing and manufacturing. For more information about why we prefer products from direct sellers whenever possible, please click here. WE ARE NOT PAID FOR FAVORABLE PRODUCT REVIEWS and our opinions are our own.
